The duration of the Zeovit mixture used in this way: 1 liter every 400 liters, depends above all on the amount of work that it will have to carry out (load of nutrients in the tank) and in any case never beyond 12 weeks of use. The company suggests using a filter / reactor for zeolites (if present) or in any case a passage of water that goes from 200 to 400 liters per hour, preferably if the flow is directed from the bottom up, to simplify cleaning the deposited material. In an environment where aerobic and anaerobic conditions are altered, microorganisms / bacteria will absorb nitrates and phosphates. This result can be obtained by alternating the pump of the zeolite reactor in cycles of three hours between on and off (three hours on and three hours off) considering that the material must not remain in contact with the air when the pump is off. Zeolite has the important function of absorbing ammonium and ammonia, thus preventing the formation of N02 and N03. Thus limiting the inorganic nutrients we obtain good growth from all corals. We will thus notice tanks with extremely crystalline water.
