Many aquarists regularly add marine zooplankton to their aquarium, creating ideal conditions for establishing a stable copepod population in their tank. It also helps maintain optimal water values. In addition, fish species that like to peck at reef rocks (e.g., lyrefish) always have a certain amount of live food available in the aquarium. Our Tigriopus Californicus Mix is particularly recommended for establishing biological cycles in the aquarium when starting tanks. Perfect for: breeding, tank improvement/microbiology, feeding. Tigerpods are red copepods that swim up and down in a very stimulating manner for fish. Why should you use Tiggerpods? They are best suited for breeding and increasing shelters.
